Vauxhall Fashion Scout - Rira Sugawara AW 12/13

This was Rira Sugawara's third collection and second catwalk show in London. The AW 12/13 was inspired from an Exciting Encounter, of 60's American pop art and the spiritual character of a Japanese high priest 'Kukai' - Show Invitation

I believe that until now, from what I attended at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout, this is my favourite collection . I adore this 'vintage Americana' look Rira designed and it is a big hit for the SS 2012 as well, actually one of the big trends to follow this year. Happy to see that it continues through Autumn Winter!

The amazing prints , as I seen from the previous collection are the signature look of the Japanese designer. She used graphic, sketchy prints on all pieces : leggings, trousers, skirts and coats. The faux snake skin jackets in black and grey complement the prints very well and accentuate the colours and design. Also the 60's opaque, reflecting sunglasses are the best match to complete this look.

Let's not forget the fur collars on the trench coats and oversized belts that accentuate the waist perfectly.

It is a very wearable and beautiful collection !
